2006 Annual General Meeting

The 2006 Annual General Meeting took place within the Clubhouse of Linlithgow Bowling Club on Sunday 5th November 2006.

The following are some of the points from the AGM:

OFFICE BEARERS for 2006/07 are:

PRESIDENT - Frank Strathearn (Central East)
VICE PRESIDENT - Ross Dennis (Perthshire)
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT - Jim Kelly (Wigtownshire)
SECRETARY - Anne Bremner (West Lothian)
TREASURER - Ross Dennis (Perthshire)
P.R. OFFICER - Alan Mitchell (Highland)

INTERNATIONAL TEAM SELECTORS:

1. David Ferguson (Central West)
2. Neil McMonagle (Greater Glasgow)
3. Larry McCloy (Glasgow South)

2006 COMPETITIONS:

NATIONAL FINALS
- Priorscroft BC and Hawkhead BC (Grangemouth)
- on Saturday 11th August 2007
VICE PRESIDENT'S TROPHY
- Perth BC
- on Sunday 10th June 2007
INTER COUNTIES FINALS
- Venues to be decided (in Central East area)
- on Saturday 8th September 2007

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS:

The Annual Subscriptions remain unchanged at £10 per Club, with £7 being passed onto SYBA and the remaining £3 being retained by the Districts.

OTHER POINTS:

1. SYBA NATIONAL RAFFLE

    It was agreed that the SYBA would hold a National Raffle, to be  
    drawn at the National Finals on Saturday 11th August 2007.

    10 books at £1 per book (5 tickets @20p each) would be handed out to all
    255 Clubs which were members of the SYBA in 2005/06.

    District Convenors were to control the distribution of the raffle books for
    their area, with the P.R.O. Alan Mitchell being the promotr and having
    overall control of the raffle.

 2. DRESS FOR COMPETITIONS FOR 2007 ONWARDS

     It was agreed that "Greys and Whites" would remain in place for the
     National Finals Day.

     It was agreed however that Coloured Shirts were optional in the Vice
     President's Trophy and the Inter Counties competition.
